Two New Radiologists join CRR
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Carolina Regional Radiology (CRR) – the region’s most comprehensive group of specialty-trained radiologists – is pleased to welcome Dr. Ali Nasim and Dr. Grant Yanagi.
Ali Nasim, MD is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology. He completed a fellowship in Neuroradiology and his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill. After earning his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, he completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. His special areas of clinical interest include Neuroradiology, Pediatric Imaging and Cross-sectional Body Imaging (CT and MRI).
Dr. Nasim received a BA in Biology from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and he graduated, as valedictorian, from Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School in Bradley, Illinois.
Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology, Grant Yanagi, MD completed a fellowship in Vascular/Interventional Radiology and his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at George Washington University in Washington, DC. He earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts, and completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Massachusetts. He has authored several publications and made presentations at medical association meetings.
Dr. Yanagi earned his BA in Biology from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He graduated, as salutatorian, from Manchester High School in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Established in 1956, Carolina Regional Radiology (CRR) has been serving the radiology needs of the greater Fayetteville area for more than half a century. Currently, CRR is the region’s most comprehensive group of Board Certified and Fellowship-trained radiologists. CRR radiologists provide all radiology services at Valley Regional Imaging (CRR owns and operates VRI in partnership with Cape Fear Valley Health System), as well as at all facilities of Cape Fear Valley Health System (including Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital), Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital and Columbus Regional Medical Center.
