For more than 50 years, we’ve been providing professional imaging services to the greater Fayetteville region. Our practice was established in 1956, as Fayetteville X-Ray Associates (FXA), to serve the imaging needs of patients at what is now Cape Fear Valley Health System.

Over the past five decades, we have grown from a solo practice to become one of the largest radiology practices in southeastern North Carolina serving a ten-county region. To reflect our regional expansion, we changed our name to Carolina Regional Radiology (CRR) in 1995.

Today, Carolina Regional Radiology is a full-service imaging and interventional radiology practice. We provide state-of-the-art imaging solutions for hospitals, imaging centers, mobile services, urgent care centers, physician practices, and the armed services, as well as direct procedural care for patients.

Our professional staff currently includes 21 radiologists, all Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology. In addition, many of our radiologists are fellowship-trained in subspecialties, and several hold prestigious Certificates of Added Qualification in the subspecialties of cardiovascular radiology, neuroradiology, and interventional radiology.

CRR services cover all radiology fields and subspecialties. And, all of our diagnostic radiology subspecialties can be consulted from anywhere in our service area through a private network system.

CRR maintains the highest standards of service for patients, as well as referring physicians.

• CRR radiologists are available 24/7 for professional interpretations, using our hospital and community-based Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS) and teleradiology networks.
• On-call radiologists are always accessible when needed for on-site consultation, imaging and intervention.

CRR’s imaging centers have earned accreditation by the American College of Radiology and the Food and Drug Administration. In addition, CRR’s licensed radiology technologists are certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and are experienced in all of the latest imaging techniques.
